The church ladies go crazy over these every spring and never leave a single crumb behind. Just 3 ingredients.
These Southern 3-Ingredient Peach Brie Bites are a simple yet refined appetizer that pairs the creamy richness of Brie with the sweet intensity of peach preserves. Using frozen puff pastry creates delicate, flaky layers that puff beautifully in the oven, forming a light base for the melted cheese. As they bake at 400°F, the pastry rises while the sugars in the jam caramelize, creating a golden, flavorful bite that tastes far more impressive than its short ingredient list suggests.
Southern 3-Ingredient Peach Brie Bites
Ingredients
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (8–10 oz), thawed
- 4 oz Brie cheese (rind intact)
- 1/2 cup peach preserves or jam
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the pastry
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly grease it. Unfold the thawed puff pastry and gently roll it out to smooth any creases. Cut into 2-inch squares using a knife or pizza cutter.
Step 2: Add the Brie
Cut the Brie into small 1/2-inch cubes. Place one cube in the center of each square, pressing lightly.
Tip: Keep the rind on—it’s edible and helps hold the cheese together as it melts, preventing it from spreading too much.
Step 3: Top with preserves
Spoon about 1/2 teaspoon of peach preserves onto each piece of Brie.
Tip: Avoid overfilling, as the jam will loosen when heated and may spill over if there’s too much.
Step 4: Bake
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
What to look for: The edges should be crisp and flaky, with the jam bubbling around the softened cheese.
Step 5: Let cool slightly
Remove from the oven and allow them to rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
Tip: This step helps prevent burns from hot filling and allows the pastry to firm up, making them easier to handle.
