Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Strawberry pie filling 21 oz (1 can)
Cream cheese (softened) 8 oz (1 package)
Granulated sugar ½ cup
Vanilla extract 1 tsp
Yellow cake mix 1 box
Unsalted butter (melted) ½ cup
Fresh strawberries (sliced) ¼ cup (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

    1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
    2. Layer the pie filling: Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  1. Cream cheese mixture: In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry pie filling, spreading it gently to create an even layer.
  2. Add cake mix: Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top of the cream cheese layer. Make sure the entire surface is covered.
  3. Add butter: Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix. Try to cover as much of the dry mix as possible, but don’t worry if some spots are left uncovered.
  4. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly. The edges should be slightly crispy, and the cake mix should be fully cooked.
  5. Cool and serve: Allow the cake to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh strawberry slices if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature.
