Ingredient Quantity
Beef blade steaks 6 medium
Onion 1 medium
Fresh mushrooms 8 oz.
Chicken broth 3/4 cup
Heavy cream 1/4 cup
Dry claret 1/4 cup
Unbleached flour 1/4 cup
Salt and pepper To taste

Fresh thyme 1 teaspoon
Mild paprika 1/2 teaspoon
Fresh parsley 2 teaspoons chopped

Instructions

    1. Brown the Beef: Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the beef blade steaks with salt and pepper, then brown them on both sides in the skillet. Transfer the browned steaks to the slow cooker.
    2. Sauté Onions and Mushrooms: Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil to the skillet and sauté the sliced onions and mushrooms until softened and slightly browned, about 12-15 minutes. Stir in the minced thyme and paprika for added flavor.
