Ingredients

For the Cream Layer

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Coffee Layer

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional)

For the Base

  • 12 ladyfingers, broken into pieces

  • Cocoa powder, for dusting

Preparation

1. Prepare the Coffee Layer

  • Brew 1 cup of strong coffee and let it cool to room temperature.

  • Stir in the sugar and coffee liqueur (if using).

  • Set aside.

2. Prepare the Cream Layer

  • In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until it forms stiff peaks.

  • In a separate bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined and fluffy.

3. Assemble the Tiramisu Cups

  • Place a layer of broken ladyfinger pieces at the bottom of each serving cup or glass.

  • Spoon some of the coffee mixture over the ladyfingers to soak them—enough to moisten, but not so much that they become mushy.

  • Add a layer of the mascarpone cream over the soaked ladyfingers.

  • Repeat the layers (ladyfingers + coffee + cream), finishing with a layer of cream on top.

4. Chill and Serve

  • Cover each cup with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for the best flavor and texture.

  • Just before serving, dust the top of each cup generously with cocoa powder.
