This is my first blog post ever and I hope we will be able to connect our thoughts!!!

Writing has always been a weak spot of mine. I always wanted and liked writing but I never got the rush blood nor the drive to start. Now that I want to start posting, I want to let everyone know that I am not a professional writer. This is my new hobby. I am also going to document my journey throughout the years (I hope I will be this consistent) and make a comparison year by year, be it for good or bad (hope not).

Why I never started writing before?

Confidence: First of all, it’s easier to read…jokes aside, the fear of making mistakes. Since the pandemic era, my mind got into a different kind of state, it made me realize a lot of things, first of all, it’s not bad to make mistakes. People learn from mistakes. That’s the first lesson, then when you get used to it, you become better and better each day. As the saying goes by, let it flow, and that’s what I will try to do.

Time: I was working 12-15 hours a day, and also a family to feed; Blogging takes a significant investment of time and effort. If you have a rough schedule or other commitments, you might be afraid of not giving out all the potential inside you and produce quality content.

Perfectionism: Since I suffer from OCD (Obsessive-compulsive disorder) looking for perfection can be a roadblock when you want to startup a blog. You kind of feel the need to have everything perfectly arranged, the design must be flawless, or every post perfectly crafted before posting. Remember, it’s okay to not be perfect and improve over time.

Fear of negative feedback: The fear of getting too many negative feedbacks can stop you from sharing your thoughts here or in any blog. Caring about how and what others might think or how they might react to your posts can be a significant obstacle.
Technical issues: Setting up a blog online and going through the technical issues along the way, such as choosing a web platform, domain name, or understanding basic stuff about website design, can be overwhelming for some. Technical obstacles may have stopped me from taking the first step towards writing this first blog post.

Motivation: Many times, just the thought of getting started and making the first step can be the hardest part. Hesitation or the lack of motivation may have stopped you from starting the process of creating a blog and make you a regular at writing.

Consistency: Maintaining a blog and keeping it up online requires consistency and regular updates. If you were not sure about your potential or capacity to commit to a consistent writing schedule, you might have been hesitant to start.

How do I feel about writing?

I think writing helps you get out of your comfort zone, it also helps you connect with other people easier, you share your own opinions without letting anyone interrupt. I got to the point where I don’t care what anyone else thinks about my opinion, I am going to share it, and if you like you can listen or read it. Don’t forget, it’s your opinion that matters.
Don’t forget, some of the reasons mentioned above are common barriers, but you can overcome them. All you need is the will to start up a blog; it’s never too late to begin. Addressing some of these concerns and also looking for support from others, and setting realistic goals can help you overcome these barriers and embark on your new journey.

What am I going to share with you?

Anything. When I say anything, I mean anything that I think it matters to all of us. I want to start discussing different topics, from inner thoughts to the things we touch with our hands (also ones we dream of but can’t be touched). If anyone has a topic that wishes to discuss, we are here.

Understanding you

The audience: One of the best ways to be a successful blogger is to be able to understand your audience. That is what I am going to do; I will do my best to try to understand you. Not everyone is going to agree with me, but let’s agree to disagree. I just hope that you will understand me too because I am going to share everything with you, starting from statistics to food recipes. Let me tell you a secret, I am a big fan of statistics, there are some statistics platforms that I follow on social media, later on I will share all of them with you. What is my target audience? Well, without a clear target audience it is really hard to generate traffic, I am not looking for specific readers. It is clear to me that the content I am going to share with you must be valuable for you to read it so that you would engage and help me connect with you.

Reaching out: Reaching out and engaging with the right readers is ideal to any blogger, all I fear is that my content will not reach the right audience, I want my readers to be attracted by the content and effort I will try to put here.

Valuable content: Being able to stylize the content and make it attractive so that the preferences and interests of the audience converge. I want every reader to come back again and again. I expect the reader to comment on my posts so they would help me to address better each topic or challenge that we can face when exploring new topics.

Personal development

Being here and sharing stuff with you will also help me on developing on my personal level. I will be able to learn new tricks and better ways to communicate with all of you. I lacked such an experience before, I would have loved to be a better writer by now. Blogging sure helps on reflecting, storytelling and self-discovering new skills.

Better writer: Keeping a blog live and sharing content on it everyday, would help me to be a better writer, improving and learning new writing styles and skills.

Enhance communication skills: When you share content with your audience, it is just the start, you will receive comments and feedback through social media platforms, by responding to all those comments, being good ones or bad ones, you improve overtime, you learn how to better accept criticism and be better at communicating with your audience.

Being a self-critic: Blogging will sure take you a lot of your time, before posting content you have to research, analyze and fact-check all the information that you can gather regarding a specific topic. By doing so, you have to improve your evaluation skills, deep thinking and reasoning all the arguments and information that you are going to share with your audience.

Time: Persistently posting on your blog can be a time-consuming machine, but as the time goes by, I hope to better manage my time schedule and organize it in a way that it would help to adapt to this new routine and be as much efficient as possible.
In the end, it is YOU that matter to me, help me to be better, please know that your comments and critics are more valuable than anything else to keep me motivated. I would be more than grateful if any of you took the time to engage to my blog, your comments and support are an encouragement and surely inspire me to continue.

Thank you!!!
