Susan Boyle’s Soul-Stirring Performance Leaves Oprah and Audience in Awe

British singer Susan Boyle appeared to be in good spirits as she took the stage on one of America’s biggest talk shows, delighting Oprah Winfrey and her audience, The Sun reported.

Boyle, known for her powerhouse vocals and quirky charm, performed her signature “Boyle wiggle” for Oprah on Tuesday but playfully announced it would be the last time.

The appearance marked a positive turn after concerns over her well-being surfaced last week. Boyle reportedly displayed erratic behavior, including foul-mouthed outbursts at a café near her Scottish home and in Heathrow Airport’s VIP lounge on January 12, raising fears she was struggling with the pressures of fame.

Despite these incidents, the Britain’s Got Talent star maintained her composure on The Oprah Winfrey Show, where she performed and spoke candidly about her personal struggles.

Reflecting on her mother’s passing, Boyle shared, “My mum died two years ago. After that, there was a wee period where I didn’t sing … You try to keep going through that pain, and that’s what I try to do with my singing. I am very slowly getting over it.”

Oprah also addressed Boyle’s well-documented breakdown and time spent at The Priory rehab center. Boyle clarified, “There are two types of exhaustion: exhaustion due to ill health and exhaustion due to work. I like to be busy, so I was very exhausted because of work. But I was fine. It’s a chapter of my life which is over now.”

After performing Who I Was Born to Be, Boyle brought laughter to the audience as she taught Oprah her famous wiggle one last time. With a smile, she declared, “That’s the last time you will see it. That’s the Boyle Wiggle.”
