Strawberry cake

Fresh  Strawberry  Pie recipe!

 

1 pre-baked 9-inch pie crust (or graham cracker crust, if preferred)

6 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved

1 cup sugar

3 tablespoons cornstarch

1 cup water

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Whipped cream (for garnish)

 

1. Prepare the Strawberries: Arrange half of the fresh strawberries in the pre-baked pie crust. Set aside.

2. Make the Glaze:

In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and water. Stir until smooth.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and turns clear (about 5–7 minutes).

Remove from heat, add lemon juice, and stir well.

3. Finish the Filling:

Mash the remaining strawberries and mix them into the glaze until well combined.

Pour the glazed mixture over the strawberries in the pie crust, spreading it evenly.

4. Chill and Serve:

Refrigerate the pie for 3–4 hours, or until completely set.

Serve with whipped cream on top.
