Steak and Shrimp Stuffed Bread
Ingredients:
For the filling:
500g steak, thinly sliced
300g or more shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 onion, finely chopped
1 bell pepper, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
For the bread:
1 large baguette or loaf of Italian bread
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 tbsp parsley, chopped
Directions:
Prepare the filling:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak until browned, then remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, cook the shrimp, onion, bell pepper, and garlic until the shrimp are pink and the vegetables are tender.
Return the steak to the skillet, season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix in the cheeses until melted. Set aside.
Prepare the bread:
Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
Hollow out the bread, leaving a thick crust. Fill the hollowed bread with the steak and shrimp mixture. Place on a baking sheet.
Bake:
Brush the top of the filled bread with melted butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and the filling is bubbly.
Serve:
Allow to cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy!
Note: Put the hollowed-out bread pieces on the side of the baking tray and drizzle with extra butter and parsley, or sprinkle with your favorite savory toppings.
