Sofia Vegara Posts Thong Photo To Try and Sell Sunscreen And People Love It

Sofia Vergara’s venture into the world of suncare-focused beauty products with her brand Toty seems destined for success.

Not only is it vegan and cruelty-free, offering a range of protective ingredients, but it also has the perfect selling point: Sofia Vergara herself!

Now, Vegara is one of the most iconic actresses of recent years. Born in Barranquilla in Columbia back in 1972, she first started out her career as a model before branching out into acting in commercials and, eventually, movies and television.

Her most memorable role to date has to be that of Gloria in Modern Family, who she played from the show’s inception in 2009 til its finale in 2020.

However, outside of her acting career, Vegara has grown a total empire, having ventured into everything from jewellery to furniture. However, the star’s latest move is into the beauty industry, and it is making big moves.

A recent Instagram post by the fifty-year-old entrepreneur showcases her poolside, basking in the sun’s rays, clad in nothing but some black thong bikini bottoms, and presumably with a layer of her products over her skin!

In the photo, she can be seen holding her phone camera in one hand and the Ilumina CC Creamy Compact SPF 50+ in the other.

This “second-skin coverage foundation” not only promises a velvety-soft, natural finish but also provides protection with its mineral sunscreen ingredient titanium dioxide and Polypodium leucotomos extract, a plant-derived antioxidant known for its powerful defence against free radical damage.

Beyond the product’s appeal, Vergara’s new line of products holds personal significance for the actress.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she revealed that Toty was her childhood nickname given by her older brother.

Growing up in the tropical climate of Colombia, she recalled that there was never a cautionary voice advising against sunburn or excessive tanning.

Reflecting on her own experiences, she expressed, “I wish I had made that decision sooner also for the rest of my body, but I didn’t. I just thought to save my face, and that was it. So I haven’t had my face in the sun without protection since the ’90s.”
