Simple & Sweet Cobbler
This recipe truly lives up to its name! The Easiest Cobbler uses melted butter and a self-rising batter to create a golden, fluffy crust that surrounds a sweet, gooey peach filling as it bakes.
Ingredients:
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Self-rising flour | 1 cup |
| Sugar | 1 cup |
| Milk | 1 cup |
| Butter, melted | 8 tbsp (1/2 cup) |
| Vanilla extract | 1 tsp |
| Peach pie filling | 1 can |
| Cinnamon, for garnish | To taste |
Instructions:
Step 1: Prep the Dish
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
Step 2: Make the Batter
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth and well combined.
Step 3: Assemble the Cobbler
Pour the batter over the melted butter in the dish—don’t stir. Evenly spoon the peach pie filling over the top.
Step 4: Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbling.
Step 5: Serve
Sprinkle with cinnamon, then serve warm. Add vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra indulgent touch.
