The online community is buzzing over an image that shows a group of friends hiking in Chile – and the one mysterious photobomber who creeped into the snap, horrifying fans who say it gave them “goosebumps.”
A photo of six friends enjoying a hike in the woods has sparked an internet frenzy after eagle-eyed viewers noticed something unsettling.
At first glance, the image seems like any other fun snapshot: six friends huddled together, smiling wide against the backdrop of lush greenery. Taken in the Chilean wilderness, it captures the camaraderie and joy of their hike.

A third netizen shares, “Great photobomb from the forest demon,” and a fourth pens of the terrifying face, “Thanks for the forever-nightmares!”
Genuinely horrified over the greenish face, another Redditor writes, “I am not exaggerating when I say that when I finally saw it, I got goosebumps and felt genuine fear. What the f**k. I believe in ghosts again now.”
Doctored image
Though many are convinced there’s something paranormal at play, others insist it’s just a clever prank.
“This is so fake,” writes one while a second says, “Creepy picture…I’m gonna say it’s fake though.”
Trying to determine if the image is doctored, another Redditor writes: “It gave me chills, for sure. Usually, I just laugh these things off, or assume the photo is doctored in a way I can’t really detect, but not this time.”
The user continues, “And once you see it, you can’t try to make it be something else, like the way the guy’s jacket is bunched up, or a combination of that and part of the hair from one of the girls. Nothing else fits. It’s very clearly something/someone that doesn’t belong there.”
