My husband begs for me to make a batch every single Sunday. Best part is it takes only 4 ingredients.
These Southern 4-Ingredient Brown Sugar Bacon Crackers—often nicknamed “bacon crack”—are an irresistible sweet-and-savory bite that’s perfect for parties or quick snacks. A crisp, buttery cracker is topped with bacon and a brown sugar glaze that caramelizes in the oven, creating a rich, crunchy finish with just the right balance of smoky and sweet.
Southern 4-Ingredient Brown Sugar Bacon Crackers
Ingredients:
- 24 buttery rectangular crackers (Club-style)
- 8 slices thin-cut bacon, cut into thirds
- ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2 tbsp salted butter, melted
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Pan
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup. If available, place a wire rack on top for extra crispiness.
Step 2: Arrange Crackers
Lay the crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet, making sure they don’t overlap.
Step 3: Mix the Topping
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar until it forms a thick, grainy mixture.
Step 4: Add the Bacon
Place a piece of bacon on each cracker, trimming if needed so it fits neatly.
Step 5: Top with Sugar Mixture
Spoon a small amount of the brown sugar mixture onto each piece of bacon, pressing it down gently so it sticks.
Step 6: Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the bacon is cooked and the sugar has melted into a deep golden glaze.
Step 7: Cool Before Serving
Let the crackers cool for 5–10 minutes so the topping sets into a crisp, candy-like coating.
