I’m a little embarrassed by how much I love this dish… but it’s too delicious…

Chicken Cordon Bleu is a delicious dish featuring tender chicken breasts wrapped with ham and cheese, then baked to crispy perfection. This recipe makes it easy to enjoy this restaurant favorite at home!

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Boneless, skinless chicken breasts 4
Swiss cheese slices 4
Deli ham slices 4
All-purpose flour 1/2 cup
Eggs 2, beaten
Breadcrumbs 1.25 cups
Grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 cup
Garlic powder 1 teaspoon
Paprika 1/2 teaspoon
Salt & pepper To taste

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish. Pound each chicken breast thin (about 1/4 inch) between plastic wrap.

      1. Assemble: Lay a slice of Swiss cheese and ham on each chicken breast. Roll them up tightly and secure them with toothpicks if needed.

      1. Breading Stations: Set up 3 shallow dishes. Fill the first with flour, the second with beaten eggs, and the third with a mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

      2. Bread the Chicken: Dredge each roll in flour, then dip it in the egg mixture, making sure it’s fully coated. Finally, roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently for a good coating. Place the breaded rolls in the baking dish.

      3. Bake & Rest: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the breading is golden brown. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

    1. Serve: Enjoy your Chicken Cordon Bleu hot, garnished with fresh parsley if you like. It pairs well with steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh green salad.
