Homemade Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks Recipe

These Homemade Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks are incredibly simple to make and deliver big on flavor. Using a prepared pizza crust, they’re quickly topped with garlicky butter, a blend of cheeses, and herbs, then baked until golden and bubbly—perfect for dipping!

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Prepared pizza crust 1 (10 ounce) can
Butter 1 tablespoon
Garlic cloves 1
Mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup
Parmesan cheese 1 tablespoon
Dried basil 1 tablespoon
Salt To taste
Pepper To taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Garlic Butter: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter and finely minced garlic. Set aside.
  2. Prepare Dough: Unroll the prepared pizza crust dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Brush with Garlic Butter: Evenly brush the entire surface of the pizza dough with the garlic butter mixture.
  4. Add Cheese and Spices: Sprinkle the grated mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and dried basil evenly over the buttered dough. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cut into Strips (Do Not Separate): Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into stick shapes. For example, cut lengthwise into 7 long strips and then crosswise into 3 shorter strips to create individual breadstick sizes. Do not separate the strips at this point; leave them connected on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake: Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the breadsticks are light golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Recut and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven. Recut along each pre-scored strip to fully separate the breadsticks. Carefully remove them from the cooking sheet. Serve the breadsticks warm, ideally with marinara sauce for dipping.
