1. Preheat the Oven:
– Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Sauté the Shrimp:
– In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the chopped garlic until tender. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes. Avoid overcooking; the shrimp will finish cooking in the oven. Remove the shrimp and arrange them in a baking dish.
3. Prepare the Sauce:
– In the same skillet, add the white wine, lemon juice, and Italian seasoning. Bring the mixture to a boil, then simmer for 7-10 minutes or until it reduces by half.
4. Incorporate the Butter:
– Slowly add chunks of softened butter to the skillet, stirring constantly until fully melted and incorporated. Pour this sauce over the shrimp in the baking dish.
5. Bake:
– Sprinkle the shrimp with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the shrimp are fully cooked and the cheese is melted.
6. Serve:
– Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious shrimp scampi with crusty bread or over pasta for a complete meal!
This mouthwatering dish is sure to be a hit at any meal!
