CLassic lasagna recipe:
Ingredients:
12 lasagna noodles
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups marinara sauce
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp dried basil
1 tbsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
15 oz ricotta cheese
1 egg
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
In a pan, brown ground beef with onions and garlic. Add marinara sauce, tomato sauce, sugar, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and a pinch of salt.
In a baking dish, layer: noodles, meat sauce, ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Repeat layers.
End with a layer of mozzarella and Parmesan on top. Cover with foil.
Bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
