Olive oil | 2 tablespoons
For the Sauce | Quantity
Cream of mushroom soup | 1 can (10.5 oz)
Milk | 1/2 cup
Sour cream | 1/2 cup
Worcestershire sauce | 1 teaspoon
Dried thyme (optional) | 1 teaspoon
Onion, thinly sliced | 1 small
Garlic, minced | 2 cloves
Salt and pepper | To taste
How to Make Amish Hamburger Steak Bake:
Step 1: Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 2: Combine the beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form 4–6 patties.
Step 3: Brown the patties in olive oil for 2–3 minutes per side. Transfer to the baking dish.
Step 4: In the same skillet, cook the onion and garlic. Add the soup, milk, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, thyme (optional), salt, and pepper. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
