A church potluck classic — only 4 ingredients! I end up making it nearly every week because my friends won’t let it miss a gathering.
This super easy casserole uses refrigerated biscuit dough and a simple garlic butter glaze to create a cheesy, savory pull-apart dish that’s perfect for sharing.
4-Ingredient Cheesy Pull-Apart Potluck Casserole
Ingredients
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Refrigerated biscuit dough (homestyle or buttermilk) | 2 cans (16 oz) |
| Shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend) | 3 cups |
| Salted butter, melted | 1/2 cup |
| Garlic powder | 1 tbsp |
Instructions
1. Preheat & Prep:
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
2. Cut the Biscuits:
Open the biscuit cans and separate the biscuits. Cut each biscuit into 4 smaller pieces using a knife or kitchen scissors.
3. Make Garlic Butter:
In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and garlic powder. (If using garlic salt instead, reduce to 2 tsp.)
4. Coat the Biscuits:
Toss the biscuit pieces in the garlic butter until evenly coated. You can use your hands for thorough coverage.
5. Assemble the Casserole:
Layer half of the coated biscuit pieces in the prepared dish. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese on top. Add the remaining biscuit pieces and finish with the remaining cheese.
6. Bake:
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the biscuits are cooked through and golden brown. Tent loosely with foil for the last 5–10 minutes if the top starts browning too fast.
7. Rest & Serve:
Let the casserole rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm so everyone can pull apart pieces.
