NFL PLAYER FACES BACKLASH FOR CONTROVERSIAL COMMENCEMENT SPEECH AT SMALL CATHOLIC COLLEGE

Harrison Butker, the kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs, has drawn a lot of criticism for his commencement speech to the class of 2024 on the Benedictine College campus.

A video of the NFL player’s 20-minute speech to the small graduating class at the Catholic college went viral, sparking a plethora of comments from online users.

Butker covered a wide range of subjects in his address, such as Pride Month, President Biden, women’s duties in the home, and masculinity.

“While COVID might have played a large role throughout your formative years, it is not unique,” he began. “The bad policies and poor leadership have negatively impacted major life issues. Things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia, as well as a growing support for degenerate cultural values and media all stem from the pervasiveness of disorder.”
