Cajun Shrimp Deviled Eggs
Deviled eggs are a classic appetizer that can be enjoyed at any occasion. But if you want to spice things up a bit, why not try these cajun shrimp deviled eggs? They are loaded with flavor and texture, thanks to the creamy egg yolk filling, the spicy shrimp topping and the fresh dill garnish. They are easy to make and sure to impress your guests.
Ingredients
- 12 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons hot sauce, such as Tabasco
- 2 tablespoons sweet relish
- 3 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning, divided
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 24 medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
Instructions
- Cut the eggs in half lengthwise and scoop out the yolks into a medium bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork until smooth. Add the mayonnaise, hot sauce, relish, 2 teaspoons of Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper and mix well. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the oil and add the shrimp. Sprinkle with the remaining Old Bay seasoning and cook, turning once, until pink and cooked through, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a plate and let cool slightly.
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture evenly into the egg white halves. Top each deviled egg with a shrimp and sprinkle with some dill. Refrigerate until ready to serve or enjoy right away.
